We had a great pranzo here two years ago and decided to return for cena (dinner) on this trip. It was a bit disappointing to see that the piazza seating had been reduced considerably from our previous visit, but we had a nice table for two at outer edge. Saturday night is great for people watching on Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere and seeing the street performers as the evening progresses. For cena, we shared two piatti (dishes): Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (pecorino cheese and pepper--a traditional Roman pasta dish) and Vitello Tonnato (veal with tuna sauce). Both were very good. Our wine was a nice 2017 Morellino di Scansano. Service was slow. read more
