If you miss konbini onigiri, I would recommend checking out Gohan. This is a no -frills onigiri and handroll restaurant. Because all the dishes have rice, there's only so much you can get each time. Of course, I got the salmon one (and ikura) and tuna mayo for old times sake, both were very good. All the ones we ordered were good but you have to eat quickly otherwise the nori gets too soggy.
What I really like about this place is that if you get take-out, you get the nori separately so you have to wrap it yourself. Some people may find that inconvenient but it keeps the nori from getting soggy and is nostalgic of getting the konbini onigiri. read more
