A friend has been telling me about Guicho's meatball sandwich for awhile now so I decided I had to stop on my drive to LA to finally try it. And it did not disappoint!!! It's huge, comes with a side of dipping marinara and was beautifully presented in my to-go container. Probably not the best option for eating in the car but I gave myself a napkin bib and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, flavorful sandwich. Staff is super friendly both on the phone and in person. They offered napkins and a fork/knife for my takeout order. I cut it in thirds to make it easier to eat in car but recommend eating there. They have a great outdoor seating area, right on the main street of Carpinteria, and inside has high ceilings and is very welcoming. I will definitely be planning a trip back to enjoy the space and another meatball sandwich at the restaurant. read more
