    Jumbo ravioli

We paid around 40 dollars in total for our meal. We got the jumbo ravioli with added ground sausage and mushrooms added and the steak sandwich with a side of extra garlic bread. The garlic bread is not worth ordering a side of due to how it's just a thin slice of basically bruschetta with some garlic butter and cilantro sprinkled on top- as well there's already free garlic bread that comes with it. The ravioli did not have the extra mushrooms we literally paid extra for (3 in total, yes I counted) but there was lots of ground sausage. The steak sandwich was tolerable, I personally found it pretty bland but my boyfriend liked it well enough. I will say the food definitely lacks flavor, but for the prices it's reasonable sort of. I think you could definitely find better restaurants though that are more bang for your buck. Or, at least don't pick the same choices we did.

My family ordered lasagna, ravioli, and caesar salad. The sauce used for the ravioli and lasagna tasted very fresh. The caesar salad wasn't our favorite. We didn't care for the dressing. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean!

love this place and wish there was one in los angeles. obsessed with the linguini and could eat it everyday that i'm in carp. everything comes takeout style, as in already in a to go box so don't expect true table service.

This time I Ordered the Lasagna and sausage plate. The food was just delicious. The service was good, the ambiance is simple and modern. It's a perfect date night restaurant. The food speaks for it self, never disappointed. The experiance is fun, you can people watchable enjoying your food inside sitting facing the street view. The spot is a gem, when you visit Carpenteria, make a point to stop at Guicho's and enjoy the food, and tiramisu. You'll marvel in the Italien cusine, and leave happy.

This is a solid takeout place. We ordered a couple of pasta dishes, some garlic bread on the side. Our food came out piping hot without a long wait. The portions were sized, tasty and well priced! This is a family owned restaurant and looks like they have been around for a while. Highly recommended!

    Shrimp linguine

The pasta quality is delicious. I asked what was their popular item and was told the shrimp or seas food linguine---and it was spot on! The sauce has a spicy (mild) kick to it so if you are not a fan of spiciness at any level, this is not for you. You order at the counter and staff brings you the food to your table if you are eating in. All is packaged in to go boxes regardless. I find it troublesome (sauce dripping on covers/flicks at you by how you are moving the flaps) eating it from the box with the folding portion in the way... inside the restaurant. Service is minimum since you pretty much clean up after yourself. Not a fan of the tip option when you are paying when you order at the cashier for a self service place. It makes tipping obligated in my opinion. Establishment is clean. Friendly downtown Carpenteria neighborhood.

Food is always so amazing! Flavorful! Great ambiance, service is always great as well!

Guichos needs to improve how to pack to go packages This is unacceptable.

I got the gluten free primavera Rosa with added chicken (and it only cost me $3 extra which so affordable!) and my date got the chicken piccata. We were both raving about it as we scarfed it down! The restaurant was busy, with tables pretty much full both inside and outside, but luckily we were able to get seated without a wait. I ordered the fish tacos, my son had the linguini pomodoro, and my wife ordered the cioppino. Everything was delicious. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and the fish in the cioppino was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The broth was rich and savory--maybe a little on the salty side, but we still really enjoyed it. The service was another highlight. Everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming, and you could tell the staff was working hard to make sure everyone had a good experience. I also really liked how diverse the menu is. There are plenty of choices for different tastes, whether you're in the mood for seafood, pasta, tacos, or something else. Overall, this was an awesome first experience and a great discovery during our trip to Carpinteria. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town, and we're looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu!

Unfortunately, after giving Teddy's by the Sea multiple chances, the problems have become too consistent to overlook. We've had repeated issues with online orders--food mixed up or not prepared the way we ordered it. On one occasion, we even found a piece of plastic in our lobster mac and cheese. But the most frustrating issue has been the completely inconsistent closing time. They advertise that they're open until 8:30 PM, yet we've shown up as early as 7:40 PM and been told they're already closed. This hasn't happened just once--it's happened to us multiple times. We really used to enjoy coming here, but between the order mistakes, the plastic in the food, and never knowing whether they'll actually be open during their posted hours, we've finally given up. If you advertise that you're open until 8:30, customers should reasonably be able to expect you to be open at 7:40.

The owner advised us that we can sit in the front dining area but kitchen and wait service might be slow due to the back patio being full of customers. I appreciated that she told us and we decided to stay. She had a lighthearted sense of humor as well. Luv her wit and authenticity. We told the waiter it was our first time here. Hubs ordered a drink and the meatball appetizer (meatballs with crostini) but asked to be brought out for dinner with my spaghetti and palette (meatballs). The waiter asked if we wanted bread. We said yes. He didn't suggest this as an added appetizer. He just asked if we wanted bread knowing it was our first time here. But we found out later when the bill came that it cost $15, priced more than the meatball appetizer. So for first timers, if you are asked if you would like some bread, it's $15. The bread was lightly buttered and slightly grilled and cut into 8 one inch pieces and served with a side of marinara. The meatball appetizer crostini looked similar to the bread in the other appetizer, and I believe the same marinara. My dish was tasty. The marinara had a subtle flavor along with the meatballs and spaghetti. Housemade authentic flavors. I'm totally apt to come back and try other menu items. They are located on Linden Avenue in downtown Carpinteria, a few blocks from the beach. The parking is free street parking.

Here's a break down of my experience: First of all, we came on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. It says on the menu to ask about the daily special, but there weren't any. The waitress told us that on the weekdays, they do not offer daily specials since they do not have seafood on the weekdays; a weekend exclusive is what we were told. Very disappointing. We said it was fine, however, when it came to placing our orders from the menu, the waitress stopped us three times to let us know they were out of certain ingredients like ham and Italian bacon. Most of the food we ordered were not the dish in its complete form. Pasta Amatriciana: The dish I ordered. It did not come with the cured pork Italian bacon as advertised. The dish itself looks visually appealing but it was incredibly mediocre. The sauce was watery and poorly seasoned. Overall, the dish lacked flavor. I rate it as a 1/5. Chicken Vodka Pasta: the dish my mother ordered. Her comments were the same as mine. She notes that the sauce lacked seasoning and she described it as tasteless. Again, another poor dish. She rates it as a 2/5. Chicken Fettuccini: the dish my father ordered. He didn't have that much to say about it other than it being subpar. He rates it as a 2/5. I will say, in terms of pay, the price was fair. For 3 dishes, all of which came with generous portion sizes, totaled to about $62. Overall, I don't see myself returning to Mollie's in the future. They were out of many ingredients which led to mediocre dishes being served. If you wish to come here, I strongly suggest you visit on the weekend since they only serve special/ seafood dishes then. Other than that, Mollie's is a hard pass.
