Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a new H-E-B fan, but...
Maybe it was because I went to this Abilene, Texas location on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (2023).
Maybe I didn't like the hustle and bustle of hoards of folks at merely 2PM.
Maybe I thought the employees could have been friendlier & more assistive.
Maybe the store could have been tidier.
The store was mostly organized and clean, but it could have been better. I know I'm probably harsh due to the turkey day frenzy, but I saw lots of employees to say the least.
Their H-E-B line of goods was interesting. All of them are placed in the middle of each aisle. They have some of the same if not better products than the big brands at a lower cost.
They had special items - tons of them - for sale.
My purchase...
+ HEB three cheese and shells mac n cheese ($.88)
+ HEB mac and cheese ($.88)
+ HEB easy melt shells & cheese ($2.28)
+ HEB natural crunchy peanut butter ($2.38)
+ 14-oz cranberry & thyme hand soap ($1.49)
+ Cowboy Santa ornament ($5)
Overall, I have a feeling there are better H-E-B stores in Texas. read more
