It's hard to believe you have to drive all the way out to Everson to get an amazing-yet-affordable steak in Whatcom County, but you won't be disappointed. These guys just know how to do steak, and do it well. Their schnitzel is amazing, too. If budget is a concern, order off the bar menu - you can get the same delicious food for less than the full service meal offered in the adjoining restaurant.
