Affordable breakfast/lunch prices for the area! BLT with coleslaw $6? I will be returning soon-- and this time, with a friend. Food: There was not a single thing to complain about. BLT was delicious with the perfect amount of mayo and bacon. If the sandwich is on bread, then you have your choice of bread as well. The coleslaw was good coleslaw (I'm sure you know what I mean). You can order juice in two sizes: small ($1.50) or large. While this restaurant seems to be known for their brunch menus, I noticed that they serve cookies, brownies, milkshakes, ice cream, and egg creams (milk, seltzer, and chocolate syrup). Considering there is an old time bar setup, this would be a great place for a "milkshake date" if you find yourself in the area. Service: The staff is very accommodating (I heard an order of "vegetarian eggs benedict" from the table over). My waitress, Janelle, even asked to make sure that I was okay with mayo on my BLT or if I wanted it on the side. While there were two families waiting in the front on a saturday at 11am, I was quickly seated as a single at the bar. Bar seating is reasonably spaced which is surprisingly uncommon-- I had room to place my backpack under the stool and set my elbows far apart without bothering the couples next to me. **You bring your receipt to the register in the front to pay.** Ambience: I overheard the host notifying the party in the front that it will be a 20 minute wait to be seated, and at the time of a FULL restaurant, it wasn't that loud. I'd say average on the noise level; I was still able to hear the soft oldies music playing. It seems that Munday's has maintained their vintage appearance very well, all while keeping an exposed kitchen. The metal vents were clean along with a spotless milkshake machine. I've seen some dirty milkshake machines throughout the years, so I was reassured by Munday's high level of cleanliness. Price: I was looking at the breakfast menu and saw a list of $5-$6 pancake menu items... including pumpkin for the fall season! Eggs benedict was $10, which is a great price for that dish considering many other restaurants can charge up to $14 for it. Check the menu pictures on the yelp photo album if you don't believe me! So Why only 4/5 stars? Location: Huntington Village is a bustling area which is great to walk after a nice breakfast or lunch. **-1 star because Munday's is street parking only.** Monday-Saturday it is metered 3 hour limit parking (25 cents for 15 minutes). Unfortunately. the area can get busy as the day approaches lunch and dinner, so you may have to part a block over (the blocks are a short walk, everyone does it). I am not the best parallel parker, so it takes me a while to find parking during peak hours. Munday's, I will be returning. read more
