This is a Huntington staple! Super small place where everyone is on top of each other, however the food makes up for it. They usually have a long wait so I recommend going early or putting your name down and walking around the town. The service can be slow and the employees were not the friendliest. A Huntington classic! It's not really a diner, but it functions that way and the excellent, excellent food is like diner cuisine done right. I've been eating at Munday's for over two decades and it's never disappointed me. As much as I wanted to love this place, the food was neither appealing nor appetizing. Whether it was the corned beef hash, special omelette, or roast beef sandwich, nothing stood out to make my family want to return. My mom was used to the meat being medium rare and tender, not overcooked and tough for her to chew with dentures. My dad couldn't taste anything special about the omelette. The corned beef hash felt like it was heated out of a can along with some sides of lackluster potatoes. To top it off, my scrambled eggs seemed like a flat omelette to bury my food in its misery. The one thing that could've saved this place was our order of onion rings, which was never added at our request as the first thing that we ordered. All I remember is ~$8 per small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, which was sweet and refreshing. This place looked festive with decorations from Easter. The staff is friendly for seating you quickly in booth seats or the high stools at the bar. Parking is ample in nearby lots within a few blocks of walking. There are steps to walk up, so it may not be handicap accessible unless there is a ramp in the back. read more

Quaint. Homey. Like how fond memories of grandmas house make you feel. The food is good/very good, it's a place that has timeless good feelings about it and nothing about it feels artificial or fake. It's decorated appropriately for each season or holiday and it was for Halloween for my visit. Just go - you might have to wait but you won't feel unwelcome or rushed. read more

Been coming here with my family for decades, it's always been one of my Huntington favorites. The food is always excellent and strangely doesn't break the bank. On this trip I got some French toast and a side order of waffle fries. The service is always super friendly and attentive despite it always being packed. There is usually a wait for a table but it's worth it. I love how they decorate for each upcoming holiday, for example this weekend they had decorations for St. Patrick's Day up. I went on a Saturday around 1:30PM, and we (party of 2) were seated within 2 minutes of arriving. When left around 2:15PM, and the front area looked busier than when we arrived. We ordered the Classic Reuben sandwich platter, which came with fries. The corned beef portion inside the sandwich was HUGE; I could have taken out half and easily made another sandwich with it. Given the size, I only ate half the sandwich, and took the other half to-go. We also got a caesar salad; the salads are very well-priced for the portion sizes - they come in Small, Side, and Large. We got the "Side" size, which was only $6.95, but the chicken add-on ($7.75) cost more than the salad itself. We should have read the menu more carefully before ordering, and we don't regret getting the chicken add-on since it was cooked well, but just something to note when ordering the salads. Once you're done eating and ask for the check, you pay up front, which is nice because you don't have to wait for your card to be charged before getting up from your table. read more

Coffee continuously refilled. Truly warm & friendly service. We had not been here in at least 18+ years, glad that we took a chance and despite the amount of folks waiting, counter seats were soon available. I had a patty melt, a favorite that I seldom order. This is a 1/2 lb. patty, cooked to order with a nice amount of chopped onions & melted swiss. I was good for half, so consider sharing. Cole slaw was perfect. Very pleasant decor. What a charming little spot! And it's 100 years old. It's also 100 years old. This is a fantastic place to get some delicious breakfast. Grab a stack of pancakes and a cup of coffee - you'll love it. They also serve lunch breakfast and dinner. I visited during the Halloween season, and it was decked out in cute spooky decorations. Despite the fact that it was busy, service was attentive and friendly. If you arrive late, you may have to wait. 4 stars because it's just a fun and happy place with great breakfast. read more

A diner that has cute decor for the holidays, right up my alley. Today, I got a grilled cheese with fries that came with coleslaw and a pickle chip and it was yummy and hit the spot. Super cute restaurant with good food and great service. I don't live nearby or else I might find myself becoming a "regular". It's rare to find a place with a "homey" feel these days with servers who are attentive and kind and really make you feel appreciated. You don't get that special home town feeling at any average diner and this isn't your average diner. The decor is super cute. I've been here a couple times and they change their interior decorations and it's always beautiful. The food is fresh, good quality, and cooked well. Portions are excellent. But again, it's the service that can't be beat. It's no wonder lines can get very long during "rush hour" times. Bear that in mind, but it's worth the wait. read more

I've only been twice, but everything has been great every time, from a roast beef sandwich to sweet potato fries to pasta and their coffee. Everything tastes like grandma made it too, in terms of both taste and ingredients that bring back some 90s memories, which I can't really explain. Munday's is a terrific classic little diner. It's always busy but I've never waited too long to be seated. Parking can also be tough if it's a busy time, as with any of the shops and restaurants in that area. The staff is super friendly and attentive, always quick to refill coffee and get whatever you need. The food is great - I tend to order breakfast items, which they serve all day, so I can't say how the lunch or dinner food is. I love how the decorate the entire restaurant depending on the holiday/season. read more

Mundays is a fun local eatery for the family. There arent alot of relaxing family friendly restaurants in Huntington, but Mundays is it. Good old fashioned diner like food-nothing crazy. I love a good BLT or grilled cheese and my girls love their pancakes and chicken fingers. Sometimes service can be slow but its usually fairly. If you have kids-Mondays are balloon night. They have someone come and make amazing balloon creations for the kids, it is amazing and is a tradition now to go on Mondays. My girls get very upset if we miss it. Decorations: they decorate extremely creative for the holidays, and this is SO fun to see!!! We truly enjoy Mundays. It is a fun local restaurant, with good food and a fun environment. read more

Love the diner! Still had the Christmas theme up! As soon as you walk into the restaurant it's like Christmas wonderland! Food was good, waitress kept trying to get you to order like lady chill you have like 4 menus for me to look at I can't even decided which one to pick up and start reading yet and you want me order. They seemed like they get a lot of regulars in but I'm a newbie and I need to read to see what you got. You only have like 200 items! I finally ordered and got the ham steak with scrambled eggs and side of corn beef hash. You can skip that can processed crap. The ham steak was huge and very salty. Wouldn't get that again. On the other hand hubby got the turkey hash now that was REALLY GOOD! I also got the fresh squeezed orange juice that thing was like $8 for a small. Eh it was a bit sour. The waitress chats up with customers and you can't even get her attention because she's damn near sitting with them at the table. We got there right at open, and didn't have to wait long to be seated. We both ordered off of the specials menu, I highly suggest the egg white omelette! Home fries were great. We also had the blueberry muffin, which was perfectly moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The place is much bigger than I thought it would be, we sat in the back where it was nice and quiet. Great coffee too! read more

After eating there multiple times I just called in to ask where I could buy the coffee they serve if they sold it or if it was a local retailer the young lady hung up on me. Haven't been to Munday's in years. Decided to meet a friend for brunch & I suggested we go here. I was so happy that everything I told her about my past experience here was still the same! She his place is always busy! We waited about 20 minutes for a table. Once seated our lovely waitress came over to us within 5 minutes & took our order. The food came out quickly and it was fresh, full of flavor and the portions were generous. The menu is very diverse. They offer breakfast all day but have lunch options as well. The place is so busy. There are many tables yet the seating is so personal and you don't feel crowded at all. Happy to see that this restaurant is deservingly doing well after all these years! read more

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Opted to sit outside as it was nice out. Having bookmarked this place a while back, I decided it was time for a visit. Came with my parents. After looking over the menu, I decided on the egg white special. It was a delicious omelette that consisted of egg whites, tomato, spinach, feta and turkey sausage! It was delicious. It came with a side of potatoes. Potatoes were good...just needed a bit more seasonings. My mom got croissant French toast with strawberries and my stepdad got a Belgian waffle with blueberries. Both were very much enjoyed. Service was good. Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. Our waitress was wearing gloves and a mask. Only thing that bothered me was that there are 3 tables outside. All socially distanced apart. However one table didn't want to be in the sun...halfway through their meal...so they moved that table basically right behind where my family and I were sitting, which was definitely less than 6 feet apart. Great food, always come here but today we had a bad experience with a woman who was not our server. A woman named Wanda, another server, gave our food to another table after we were waiting for 20 minutes while tables seated after us were being served. When I asked about our order, she tried to explain why their food came out first but it made no sense. For reference, we ordered salad wraps and fries. The tables seated after us had burgers and heavier meals. Wanda told us that it's because certain foods come from the back and from the front, but ours were from the quicker front. Instead of apologizing she came up with an excuse. On top of that, the wraps were not even wrapped and were not able to be eaten as a wrap. read more

Ugh... The breakfast we ordered wasn't very good at all. I've been eating at this restaurant for over two decades and it used to be spot on everytime. Well, the last few times I've ordered, I'm left with shear disappointment. Toast was soggy and not toasty, scramble eggs were too soft and kinda runny, the home fries were flavorless and undercooked and the corn beef hash was oily and tasted like it was straight from the can. The only thing that was good were the side of onion rings and the turkey sausage links. This $44 dollar breakfast was a total waste and honestly overpriced for the quality of food we received. Munday's holds a special place in my heart. Over the winter holiday, my husband's grandma wanted to take all her grandkids to brunch, so we met up here. Parking gets crazy in this part of town. Get here early to snag a metered spot. When it's cold outside, there might not be a lot of space to wait inside the restaurant. We called ahead and warned of a large party since apparently they only have one big group table in the back. Once we were cozied up in the booth, our waitress was attentive and friendly. She knew that we needed immediate coffee, so she grabbed a few of those before taking our food order. The breakfast itself, however, was nothing to write home about. I ordered pancakes, which were not very fluffy but still flavorful. I don't think most people finished their food, but there was no pressure. Went twice in one week! The food is traditional diner food, but better. You get a lot for your money. I had lunch and brunch here. I had a pastrami sandwich with the best sweet potato fries. For brunch I had Corned beef hash with eggs. There was so much food. My friend had the croissant french toast which was out of this world. My other friend had pumpkin pie pancakes that were also delicious. They love to go nuts on the decoration in there, which I love. The servers are nice and have been there for a very long time.
