I had a wonderful meal at this delightful place in Lancaster New York. The stuffed hot peppers appetizer was not too hot and I could barely detect the anchovy paste which was promised to me to be extremely mild. I am not a fan of anchovies and I am a huge fan of stuffed hot peppers and I was not at all disappointed. The brick bbq wings were large and thoroughly cooked, with a sweet charring on the outside. These are not deep fried wings and were not at all disappointing. The New England clam chowder was fine, but nothing to write about. My lunch companion had a hot pepper pizza which looked to be in the Neapolitan style with a thin crispy crust. I'm told it was delicious but I didn't try any for myself. The Linguine with White clam sauce was delightful. The lunch portion was appropriately sized, the clams were soft and had the proper consistency and the pasta itself was fine. What caused this dish to be above average was the sauce. It was a rich white cheesy wine sauce in copious quantity that I ate with a spoon like a bisque when the rest of the meal was gone. For dessert, I tried the lemon cake which was served with a fresh lemon peel half sliced and twisted on top. The coffee was good and the cup remained filled by our attentive waitstaff. The utensils and plates were adequate but this place deserves more sturdy flatware. There is clearly talent in that kitchen. I do need to return to try more of their offerings from their deep and varied menu. read more
