Toby's Homemade Ice Cream shop, originally known as Scoop's, first started off as a gourmet ice cream catering company, then becoming an ice cream back in '99. The name was changed to Toby's back in '10, and the owners, Toby and Monina, have owned and operated the place since '08. Besides ice cream, Toby's also offers milk shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, banana splits, brownie sundaes, ice cream cakes, smoothies, ice cream sandwiches, blended drinks, frozen hot chocolates, and hot beverages (espresso, mochas, chais, tea, etc.). The hubs and I stopped by after having dinner, and I tried the following: the Very Berry Strawberry, the Fresh Peach, Peppermint, and the Fresh Banana. The Fresh Peach had little chunks of peach fruit throughout, and it was actually pretty good - a great balance between the fruit and the cream. The Peppermint was also pretty delicious, as it had a nice strong peppermint flavor to it. My favorite was the Fresh Banana, so I ordered a cup of that - it tasted super delicious, as it had little chunks of banana in a super state of creaminess that you just want to envelope yourself in (especially on these hot summer days!)! I also loved that they didn't have any remnants of ice crystals! The hubs enjoyed his cup of Very Berry Strawberry, which also contained little bits of strawberries throughout, and it wasn't overly sweet. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and with a Yelp check-in, you get 15% off, on either ice cream or on coffee! Definitely check this place out - I can't wait to try out their other flavors, such as the Banana Cream Pie, the Apple Pie, Pumpkin, and the Cafe Au Lait. There's limited parking in the front, and additional parking in the lot around the building.
