Very yummy ice cream! I was hoping to try the calamansi sorbet but they didn't have it so I went with the mint oreo and my sister got the ube. Both really good ice cream but now I wish I got the mango sorbet, I guess I just have to go back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tried this spot out for the first time at the Filipino Food Festival in Dulles a couple weeks ago and instantly fell in love with their Ube ice cream and calamansi sherbet--both total hits! So when I found out they had a location in Arlington near my work, I made it a mission to swing by. Came in craving the calamansi and left with a whole lineup. The sherbet was packed in pints (bless them), so of course I had to take one home. While I was there, the staff was super helpful, answered all my questions, and kept things running smoothly even with a wave of kids coming in after school. Being my usual indecisive self, I treated the peppermint scoop on a sugar cone like an appetizer (so refreshing and creamy), then ordered a banana milkshake and added almonds for a perfect banana-nut twist. And yes, I had to take that pint of calamansi to go. Tons of unique flavors, friendly and efficient service, and a vibe that makes you want to keep coming back. You won't leave unhappy.

Our all-time favorite ice cream shop ever since it opened. The flavors are on point, including several that are pretty unique to Toby's. Fantastic and friendly staff and a true neighborhood gem.

Front of store, some construction going on but you can still get in through the front

I love ice cream and I can't believe I've never been here before. This is truly one of those ice cream shops that does things right. You can tell their ice cream is homemade. They offer many flavors, some unique and some classics. Wide variety in the menu AND affordable! I got 2 scoops and my boyfriend got one and it was only $10. The ice cream it self was creamy and clearly homemade. There were 3 teens working behind the counter - they were eager to help, knowledgable about the flavors, pleasant, and clearly had a system down! They greeted us, gave us samples, scooped our ice cream while another rung us up. I love seeing young workers with such drive and great work ethic, gives me hope for future generations!

When we pulled up and the line was out the door on a Sunday night, we knew it was going to be good. Although the line was long, we progressed through quickly. When it was our turn it felt efficient, but not rushed. The difficulty is, the flavors on the screen are different than what's in the case, so once you get up and can see the case you have to make a split second decision. I opted for their speciality, the ube and really enjoyed it! Looking forward to coming back!

Favorite ICE CREAM ever! This is a local gem of an ice cream store. It's a locally owned ice cream place with amazing workers, creative and delicious ice cream flavors representing many cultures), additionally despite inflation they have better prices than other ice cream chains in the area! They have my favorite ever ice cream, which is their Ube and they do it the best.

Yummm!!! I've been wanting to check out Toby's for a while now. Finally had a chance and did not disappoint. I went specifically for the Ube ice cream, it was soooo good. I love Ube, and usually I think places make it too artificial tasting, but not Toby's. He hit the mark!

I was told the ice cream here was really good so was super excited to try it. I got mint Oreo, i ordered a small but there was a decent amount of ice cream. It was super creamy and delicious! Price was pretty fair for the size too. The shop is pretty small so you may not be able to sit inside. Service was great too!

Cruising around the Arlington area, and this Ice Cream shoppe popped up as a top result in Google Maps. This joint is the very definition of hole-in-the-wall; and I always love visiting such locations. They have a lot of flavors to sample, but they were out of their more popular ones (such as Oreo) -- which made sense, as I arrived late in the day and near closing time. I sampled the Old School Vanilla Chip, S'mores, and Cookie Dough; sadly, none were my cup of tea. I did like the Vanilla Chip the most though, which left a minty aftertaste in my mouth for some reason. I ultimately rolled the dice on a Chocolate Fudge Brownie Sundae. It comes with two scoops, so I chose semi-randomly (and hastily) and went with Chocolate Peanut Butter and Butter Pecan. It came included with nuts, two of those small round brownie bites, fudge syrup and whipped cream and cherries on top. I ate my Sundae whilst walking on the sidewalk outside. The day was moderately chilly, but very sunny. I made it a point to avoid warm places and tried to find shade while ambulating around. The Sundae was rather decent. The one huge plus point I will say, is that it felt rather light on sugar, despite probably being loaded on calories. I liked that it didn't *seem* to be a guilty pleasure as the majority of ice cream oft feels like. The other plus points I gave to courteous and speedy service and general kindness rendered. The employees behind the booths acted as gracious and attentive hosts, for all intents and purposes. They did not seem to mind that I took a long(ish) time to decide, for instance. Overall, nice ice cream shop and hole-in-the-wall joint in the heart of Arlington. Recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I'll likely be back at least once more, to sample some of their more decadent and popular flavors (:

Saw this place on IG so decided to check it out! I came for the Ube flavors which were pretty authentic and strong! The texture itself was pretty good: I liked how it both chewy and very smooth. Sweetness was definitely appropriate. The cinnamon flavor was very similar to the flavor profile of a horchata drink so I enjoyed it as well! The only concerning thing was the staff who served us didn't have gloves on and the side of her hand had visible ice cream stains from different flavors. She then proceeded to scope our ice cream for us even with her contaminated hand. Despite how small the store is, they serve a good amount of flavors! Definitely had the cozy mom and pop shop feel! Unfortunately there aren't any indoor seating options but some public benches are available walking-distance down the street. Lots of street parking options too.

Parking is a little scary, but the staff here are absolutely wonderful and the ice cream is great too. I really enjoyed the cicada ice cream they had during the "emergence." I hope to be back soon!

We said heck yeahhhh, so the decision was made AMBIANCE: Big space, pretty empty as we were one of the last people to eat before they closed! They were very accommodating-- letting us know their kitchen closed at 10:30 PM and the restaurant closed at 11 PM. When we arrived, it was 945, so we weren't looking to play around. We knew what we were gonna get. Onward we went SERVICE: My girl Arieles (PRETTY sure that's what her name was) was our server! She was so sweet and got us our stuff promptly. We knew we were coming in late so we weren't gonna waste time, but she was joyful to serve us regardless and I appreciate that. So many times people are FED UP, and it shows, to be at the end of their shift (and I get it), so it was nice to have someone of good demeanor to host us! FOOD: We ordered brisket, spicy pork belly, spicy chicken, and spicy bulgogi. First time trying the spicy Bulgogi for fear that it was gonna be TOO spicy and it was not at all! To reference -- I thought the kimchi was a bit spicier than the bulgogi! So try it, flavor is amazing! Can't wait to come again. I hadn't gone to KBBQ in a long while!

Only downside is the owners are Gators I think so there's no FSU stuff in the entire place! I always enjoy coming here and having a tasty beverage or two on the patio and listening to some live music while enjoying some grilled shrimp tacos. Food and drinks are just as good in the winter but it's not quite Florida weather so I'm eating inside when it's too cold for flip flops. The margaritas are always enjoyable as is everything else I've ever had to drink. The grilled shrimp tacos are also always just right and they bring the shells and tortillas separately so you can fill the shells yourself make them just how you want them. I usually choose corn tortillas and black beans but they also offer flour tortillas and refried beans as options. Service is always fast and friendly here, even when they're crowded on a weekend. Do not come expecting a solid seafood dinner. We came here after a nearby event. There was live music in the very sizable back lot area. People were actually up and dancing and having a great time. The vibes were stellar. I don't know if I would be into tbis place in the winter if I had to eat inside because the inside is kind of dingey, but outside in the summer is pretty paradisiacal. I did notice that they were doing karaoke in a weird little side room and it did not seem crowded on a Saturday night so that might be worth checking out. Servers were also all super nice. Pretty sure we entered the wrong way and kind of just let ourselves in through the back lot area and then we had no idea where to go to find a host(ess). So we asked the first server we could find where to go and she went "oh I can seat you" and grabbed two menus. Excellent. She also gave us our choice of wherever. The place is huge. Our assigned server was also nice and really knew the menu, which is not small. The menu had a ton of options including some really interesting tofu options and I had a hard time picking so I got excited. Also very customizable where you can choose your preparation. The beer list was not exactly artisinal...a lot of like...michelob ultra. And they had those island slushy kind of drinks. So at first I was like...this is my new weekend hangout. Then our drinks came. They were small and in little plastic cups. Wuhoh. Then our food came. I should have known it wouldn't be fresh. The price wasa little *too* good. When I asked about the catch of the day it was like four different things. I ended up with a buffalo grouper sandwich (grouper was one of the four things). I have had a fresh buffalo grouper sandwich in Clearwater before and that was in 2019 and I still remember it 7 years later. This buffalo grouper sandwich? Oh no. First of all it was this thin, flat battered fried cutlet thing. The breading absorbed the buffalo sauce so I couldn't taste it very much though they did bring me a lot of Bleu cheese dressing. The fish was bad. I bit into it and it tasted fishy and it was dry. Honestly if I hadn't been super hungry I would have just not eaten it. On top of that, I paid an extra dollar to upgrade from fries to hushpuppies. These were legit hushpuppies, but hushpuppies are small and how many did they bring me? 5. Are you kidding? Again, in Florida these are brought free by the basket. They're literally just fried up balls of corn meal. I think that may have offended me more than the bad fish. My husband went witb BBQ pulled chicken and fries and said both were good. So. Here are my thoughts. Would I come here again in the summer for fun vibes and good service? Yes. Would I set low expectations for my food and drink? Yes. Would I probably just order a softdrink and stick to something simple they can't screw up like a quesadilla and fries? Yeeeeeeeah.
