WOW. Phenomenal. This place is delicious. And not just delicious for the price or for the area, this food is DELICIOUS for anywhere. Come here. Lock your car (the area's not the best), but get over your fears and COME HERE. I'm from out of town and I'm 100% going to make sure to stop here every time I'm in KC. The people inside are SUPER friendly and nice to chat with. The owner and his family are actually from Jamaica, and they REALLY know how to cook. This food is world-shakingly good. This food is book-a-flight-to-Jamaica good. Truly. Here's the thing. Everything is STARTED from scratch when you order, just like if you were cooking at home. Call in 30 or 40 minutes ahead, it's worth the wait. And besides, you'd wait 40 minutes before being seated at a Cheesecake factory and count yourself lucky to get food previously frozen or reheated from yesterday for TWICE the price (and HALF as good). If you'd be happier at Applebee's, go to Applebee's. If you love good, authentic food and want to support a great family business, take a little adventure and go here.
