We had a 7:15 reservation and were seated around 7:45, but honestly didn't mind the wait. There's a really cute bar/waiting area as soon as you walk in that makes grabbing a drink and hanging out feel like part of the experience. That said, Jimmy's still seems to be working out some of its operations and flow. The bartender appeared to be handling most of the drinks solo, so there was a wait at the bar, and once seated, it took a little while to get menus and order. For food, we started with the fried squash blossoms and blistered peppers, then shared Nettie's lasagna. The squash blossoms were a standout--unique, perfectly fried, and filled with a delicious ricotta and Parmesan mixture. And the lasagna! Layered, meaty, flavorful and absolutely lived up to the hype. I can see why it's famous. During our time in Lodi, we heard Jimmy's described less as a traditional steakhouse and more as a supper club where the intention is to settle in and make a night of it.
