For starters we had an order oysters and an order of bone marrow. They both tasted as expected-delicious. The oysters were not dry or undercooked. Just perfect. For our entrees our group had the skirt steak which comes with mash potatoes and green beans. The meat was great quality and the beans were cooked al dente. We also tried the chicken Parmesan--big portion accompanied by marinara sauce. Another great choice was the wine braised short ribs: very tender and plentiful atop mashed potatoes and vegetable medley. Real tasty, I had to steal a corner from my wife . For the first evening at the bar we settled into a high top table. You can sit at the bar, lounge type seating or outdoors on a pleasantly shaded patio. They had an expanded bar bites menu as the main restaurant is closed on Wednesdays... most of it quite enticing. We opted for cocktails to start and I chose a specialty Date Maple Old Fashioned. It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. We started with cocktails (same Old Fashioned) and shared the grilled Brussels Sprouts which were plentiful and ever so delicious.
