Husband and I had been waiting for this China a Gogo to open up for several weeks now so we could see what exciting new foods we could enjoy. Entering the establishment, we were pleasantly greeted and sat. The place was clean, modern, uncluttered. I ordered the Personal Dinner (I chose orange chicken and fried rice and it comes with egg drop soup, 1 Rangoon and 1 egg roll) with a raspberry iced tea. Husband ordered the Assorted Appetizer for us, along with his meal. Our server brought us a basket of crispy noodle and a sweet dipping sauce. Soon my soup and the Appetizer plate came out. Not knowing what egg drop soup was, I was a little put off by its tepid/warm temperature and the thick-ish viscosity. Hey, now I know not to order egg drop soup anymore. The Appetizer plate was large and contained two each of the rangoons, egg rolls, fried shrimp, shredded chicken packets and some BBQ pork. My own Personal Dinner came with one rangoon and one egg roll. Maybe I shouldn't have ate so much appetizer because when my plate of orange chicken and fried rice came out, my eyes were wide with seeing how MUCH food (!) there was on the plate. The plate seemed to be Family sized, meant to be shared. I was already not hungry anymore from the appetizers and I knew that I wouldn't be able to finish my meal. Although my orange chicken was fresh and crunchy, it had so much orange coating that it overpowered my tastebuds. The fried rice was now basically tasteless and I needed some soy sauce to try and pull some salty flavor out of it. The service was great, our waitress was pleasant and on point when it came time for drink refills and checking on us. Our visit to this place was not unpleasant but left me feeling a little disappointed at the mediocrity of the flavor of our main dishes. I'm not sure if we'll be back to try another choice of their huge menu, but I'm glad we stopped in today. read more
