Too often the Hawaiian plate places like Chun Wah Kam will give you soggy chow fun... it just gets worse the more you use the chopsticks on em. They have more tasty beef - almost more than the noodles!!! Bean sprouts give the dish a nice crunch, red/white onions and green onions add to bringing out so much flavor I couldn't even decipher the recipe (which I will try to duplicate). The staff here are always welcoming and friendly, and I genuinely appreciate that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area is smaller but the location is super convenient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also really enjoy their takeout food overall, which is why I don't love leaving a critical review. Their prices for lunch are great and they get the best reviews (at least this location) The Kung Pao, in particular, is absolutely excellent and something I'd happily recommend. However, I've had a harder time with their breaded dishes. The orange chicken was mostly breading, and the combination of thick coating plus a sweet sauce felt too heavy for me. I wanted something sweet and savory with a lighter texture, so I tried the General Tso's after reading online that it was only lightly breaded and crisp. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. The breading was quite thick, and it absorbed a lot of the syrupy sauce. Between the sauce and the steam, the coating became soft and goopy, and each bite ended up with more sweetness than I could enjoy. With a lighter breading and a more balanced amount of sauce, the dish would have been great, but as served, it was overwhelming. I still think this place has a lot going for it, especially the friendly service and the Kung Pao. I just wish the breaded dishes were prepared with a lighter touch. read more

I've been going to the location on N rainbow for years. Amazing food and very friendly service. We recently moved to Blue Diamond area and were stoked to see another location over here. Took a drive and walked in. First thing we noticed was the air conditioning wasn't working to well but it's been hot. We told them we'd dine in. They brought us a menu and 2 waters. The served us in 2 paper cups of which one was smashed and dirty at the top. We decided at that point we'd take it to go. I got my usual kung pao chicken and my wife got the chicken chow mein and a pork fried rice. Took it home and was anticipating the great food I expected because of the other location. Well I didn't happen. The only flavor the pork fried rice had was oil. It was missing so much flavor. My kung pao chicken was I'd say about 2 notches hotter than normal. I like it spicy but I got a few bites in and I had to stop. Plate was doused in chili flakes. My wife's chicken chow mein was a let down as well. Just the oil flavor. I know for sure they aren't preparing it the same as the other location. Unfortunately we won't be going back. And to top it off their customer service wasn't bad but it wasn't there. Such a great spot for fast Chinese food with big portions!!! We ordered Broccoli Beef, General Tso's Chicken, and Combination Fried Rice + Chow Mein. We had leftovers for days! Everything was delicious. My only reason for giving 4 stars is the chow mein noodles were slightly overcooked so they got a little mushy. The food takes no longer than a few breaths from wok to table! And they come out piping hot! I'm normally a noodle person wherever I go, but China a gogo's got me hooked on their Veggie Fried Rice (no egg)! You can taste the smokiness from the wok. Super delicious! Most China A Go Go locations are consistent in service and quality and this location is no exception. They may not be the cheeriest bunch, but their service is quick and efficient, and if (like me) you come in with a regular order they'll remember you and your order. I'm rarely waiting more than 5-10 minutes for an order, and typically not even 5 minutes. The food is consistent with what you'd expect out of affordable Chinese food. The décor hasn't been updated in a while but they keep the restaurant clean. If you're looking for quick standard Chinese food, these guys will give you what you're looking for. The lot is always challenging to get into and out of. I'd be especially careful leaving, as it's sometimes hard for cars coming in to see around cars and the corners of the other driveways for everyone involved. read more

I have no idea why somebody trashed their meals in another review. I chose this place as there only a few has Hunan Beef which is my favorite. It's glazed and sweet beef with no vegetables added, similar to the famous crispy beef at China Mama or like sweet Korean fried chicken if you know what I mean. Another dish is okay, I never tried the Hot Garlic Chicken before, they made it into thin slices, battered but it's very soft, like fish. The lunch special portion is huge. And only 10.95. I picked the cheapest one because I know I would never finish even half of them. Everything was on point. 15 minutes to deliver and 45 minutes after arriving at my door they're both still hot. I've come here several times and the food is consistent. Lunch specials are affordable ($7-$9) and the portions are generous. You get fried rice, chow mein, or I like to do half and half with my lunch special. Dinner portions are also good size and come with white rice. Over the past few months, I've ordered their hunan beef, lemon chicken, general tso's chicken, hot garlic chicken, kung pao beef, spicy eggplant with tofu. All are great! One note is that the hot garlic chicken has chili but the sauce base itself is pretty sweet. This location has a few booths you can sit at to eat but it appears most of their customers order to go like I usually do. After ordering, it usally only takes about 10-15 minutes to get my food. The China A Go Go by our house has a terrible health grade and reviews so I decided to order from a further location since they had better reviews and we were craving Chinese. I placed an order for chicken chow mein and Mongolian beef for take out and when I walked in I was so disgusted by what I saw that I almost didn't pick up my food. The place has maybe 5 booths total and 1 entire booth is filled with a mountain of things ranging from random food, to go containers, employees belongings, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, paper towels, and other random items stacked pile high. I wish I took a picture. However, I checked the health grade and they had an A so I took the chance and took my food home. I wish I had just left because our Mongolian beef was 90% soggy vegetables and 10% beef that was so soggy, awful, and tasted like it was cooked a week ago and then microwaved. The chicken chow mein was JUST edible after we took out all the strange tasting chicken and soggy vegetables. We were so hungry that we ended up just eating the noodles and the side order of steamed rice and tossed everything else out. Very disappointing. 3 stars is still too generous. Delicious lunch specials and good sized portions. Nice menu options and a new location which recently opened in Mountain's Edge. Booths available with limited seating during COVID-19. On one wall they have a picture menu with a lot of scrumptious looking menu items.Very friendly and polite staff. Today we ordered the orange chicken lunch special with 1/2 fried rice and 1/2 chow mein. The pictures online of the crab rangoons had my mouth watering so got those as well. 5/5 amaze balls when dipped in the sweet chili sauce or the sweet and sour, good chicken, rice and noodles. I've avoided this chain because I kind of feel a Panda Express vibe but I've had a lot of people tell me that it's not only better but decent. It was late and this was close so I grabbed an order of egg rolls to take the edge off, since it was too late to eat a full meal. The Egg rolls broke 50/50 for me. The filling was actualy above expectations and very tasty. Sadly, I spent the time I was eating them wishing that the filling had been wrapped in a better wrapper. I don't know if it didn't get fried long enough or that the quality of the wrapper was just mediocre. It was not crispy at all and that had a very negative impact on the experience. I might come back and try some of the other stuff because it looked good but they charge more for these than they do for the best egg rolls in town at Great Wall Chinese and those are twice as large read more
