The best words to describe my experience in Kraken is - it will do on a rainy day (once). After paying $40 to rent a pickleball court without cabana I had following impressions. 1. Overstimulation Behind me were people moving on the rollerskating ring with music that was too load to communicate with my pickleball players. Next to me it was a group throwing beanie bags and being load. In front of me was a group playing table tennis. On the other side next to me people played pickleball. 2. In sufficient lighting I could not see the bright ball as not all (very high) ceiling lamps worked. One wonders if a lighting consultant was ever consulted about the lighting levels. The large glass entrance incoming light made it even harder to see as the light bounced against shiny smooth floor. Pickleball craze, for me, was about socializing but if you can't hear each other from loud music then the joy is not there. We couldn't move to another empty court because that would have been an up charge for having a cabana. I am glad I experienced it (all negative things I call experiences) and I am not planning to do it again - ever. read more
