I made an appointment during the week for Saturday afternoon, which was kind of busy. I waited for about fifteen minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, then was able to get my nails done by Thuy (pronounced Tee). I got an acrylic fill ($33) and matte light beige gel polish on top. Overall, she did a good job of shaping and filing my nails, using three different filers and hand buffers. However, she didn't fill in the acrylic all the way to my cuticles, leaving some gaps on my nails that were accentuated by the thick polish on top. In addition, she wasn't very precise with the polish and left some streaks on my nails, especially visible because I had the matte topcoat. It was also pretty expensive for a fill (I usually get my full sets for around $38-$40 in California), especially after tip.
One thing that was impressive, however, was that the manicurists were greeting customers by name as they walked in the door. That was cute. The salon had nice decor and Thuy was nice, but I don't know if I'll come back as regularly as I do with my usual salons. read more
