I was really craving French food, and after numerous visits (and being duchess of) at Bistro Liaison, I decided to try this place, and made a reservation via OpenTable. I was really glad I made an early dinner reservation (before sunset), and the atmosphere was quite pleasant before more people came along.
My friend and I had the following:
+ Tomato Soup: it was the soup of the day. I found it to be a bit too cheesy, but, overall, it was very good!
+ Crostone au Saumon: smoked salmon and goat cheese?! Yes, please! I thought this was a really yummy appetizer, and it was quite large. It comes on French country toast and roasted tomatoes. I really enjoyed the salmon and the goat cheese together, the bread was a little hard for me.
+ Steak Frites Persillade: the steak (filet mignon) was cooked well. I like my steak rare, and they did a good job. The fries were also delicious, nice and fluffy.
The service was not on par with the food. It took a while for the food to come out, and I sometimes had to ask twice for condiments, but I still think the staff were nice. I would come back here again, it has a nice feel of a real French bistro. read more
