As a self-proclaimed picky eater, I was feeling positively anxious approaching Las Cabañas for dinner this evening, but I can honestly say all of my expectations were exceeded. The key to any great dining experience is good service, atmosphere, prices, and of course, food. The servers at Las Cabañas were nothing short of friendly and accommodating. Both spoke mostly Spanish, but the menu has an English translation for those not versed in the language. Despite my choppy Spanish-speaking abilities, the server was friendly and served the food quickly.
The restaurant itself is cozy. The facility sits on busy Federal Street, but parking is not metered and very easily accessible to those unfamiliar with the area. When I entered the restaurant, I was pleased to see lots of bright colors decorating the room and eliciting a warm vibe. Additionally, the restaurant's Mexican roots were proudly displayed throughout the facility, providing a sense of truth authenticity. My roommate and I ordered a chicken burrito and bean quesadilla. Both were phenomenal. The chicken was really moist and flavorful. Overall, I was blown away.
Pros: Easy to locate, great food, super reasonable prices, friendly service, and clean facilities
Con: The only potential downside to anyone considering a meal at Las Cabañas is the language barrier. However, if you can speak even slightly conversational Spanish, you would be fine. read more
