Leach Park is what you would expect from a park. Here's what it offers:
- playground
- basketball court
- tennis courts (with pickleball lines painted on them!!!)
- picnic tables
- trees
- a pavilion
- open field areas
- restrooms
-compost collection
We've been frequenting Leach Park lately because of the pickleball court lines drawn on the tennis courts. (TIP: you can adjust the nets so they're lower for pickleball! (nets should be 34 inches high in the center and 36 inches high at the sidelines.)) The courts are nice enough -- after it rains, water pools near the net though.
The playground at Leach Park isn't anything spectacular, but it's still enough to provide a few hours of fun for little kids. There are 3 slides, 3 regular swings, 1 toddler swing, and a few structures to climb on. The ground is covered in mulch.
Basically, Leach park is your typical park! It's nothing fancy, but there's also nothing wrong with it. Right now it wins as the best park in Minot because of the pickleball court lines! Woot woot! read more
