We stopped by on a Saturday night looking forward to a tasty meal and we were absolutely blown away. We were very impressed by the cleanliness and appearance of the space. The servers took a bit long to acknowledge us and get our drinks but when they did they were very sweet and attentive and brought us a basket of cornbread which was hot and very tasty. They brought butter with it which was soft and spread beautifully. I was so excited that I forgot to snap a pic until it was almost gone. For dinner we ordered Oxtails which came with two sides. I chose collard greens and cheesy grits, two of my favorites and we ordered Mac and Cheese. Everything was delicious. The oxtails were a very large portion, the meat was succulent and the gravy was rich and delicious. The collard greens were out of this world and the grits were loaded with flavor from the cheese. Lastly, the Mac and cheese was one of the best that I've had and I think I've had it just about everywhere. Portions are very large, we ended up taking a bunch of food home and the desserts were fresh, I'd highly suggest the coconut and pineapple cake. I would, without a doubt, go back and enjoy more food from Lola's. It's one of the best restaurants that I've been to lately. read more
