This place just opened. And if I cast my mind back to the last time I had LJS yearssssss ago, what I remember most is... "greasy." Anyways...I got the platter that had the most stuff. It had fish, chicken, shrimp, and hush puppies. I also got an order of clam strips, and sides of corn and green beans. Although the chicken was an incredibly small/thin piece, the food was good-ish. Why good-ish? Because it was all really greasy. For the most part it was tolerable, except for the hush puppies. They were huge, but I'm sure that when I bit into it, I could feel the grease dripping out of it into my mouth. The sides were good, especially the green beans. The drive thru staff was excellent though. They were speedy and friendly. I want to come back here again, but I don't want a plate of fishy grease. I don't know what the solution is....hotter oil? Let it strain a bit longer before serving it? Both? I don't know, but I hope they get it fixed soon because it was nice to see something different like LJS open in the area. read more
