I went to this place for a private event. As a theme park nerd, especially one from California, this is one of the best preserved carousels. This carousel has been around since the 1900's. I've seen my share of historical carousels around California, and this has the look and brilliance of its heyday. Also, the ride is much like the classic carousels of the time; riders can catch a ring and toss it in the Garbage Goat. My short arms were too tiny to make the reach but I was successfully able to catch one! The carousel is also faster than your theme park carousel too adding to the timing of catching the ring and tossing it! Otherwise, it's a cute tourist spot to check out!
