Lori's cafe is an oasis on Rte 3, super cute and welcoming. The menu has some homemade Maine classics like fried scallops, fried haddock and haddock chowder. I tried the Cajun tacos. Admittedly, the tacos were not what I expected. They were fried fish with Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top in taco shells that looked more like small taco salad bowls with heaping levels of iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. I ate the fish and couldn't have been happier- light and delicious. Onion rings were very good.
We grabbed a donut and cinnamon roll for the road. A bit dry - maybe it was day old - but 15 seconds in the microwave and it was yummy.
This is a great stop because you can get gas and ice cream right next door. This is a keeper stop when we are in the area. read more
