It was ok. I'm glad I visited because it satisfied the curiosity I had about this place. That's the only reason I'm glad I visited. As many have already stated, I'm not sure I understand the point of a 15% fee added on at the end of your order. Clearly they need to be paying employees a living wage; however, why not simply increase your prices by the 15% fee you're going to charge? I suspect it's because in general the items they sell seem to me to be WILDLY overpriced. Adding 15% to a $9 quiche would bring it over $10, which might be a hard sell. I chose LL because it was close--I live maybe half a mile away. Pastries were a quick and convenient option since I had to drop my family off at the airport this morning. The pastries they had on offer were not very impressive and some looked downright unappetizing to me. For instance, the cinnamon roll looked nearly burnt, really dry. I know they weren't or they wouldn't have sold them, but they were not for me. I was also disappointed in kouign amann, in how short/flat it was, but my mom had enjoyed one I got for her elsewhere earlier in their visit so I wanted to get her one. I also got myself a chai latte, which was ok but nothing to write home about. I'm glad I tried a cardamom roll, though I didn't care for it. My sister did like the ham and cheese croissant that I got for her, and the broccoli and cheddar quiche I picked up was good (though overpriced, as I mentioned earlier). Overall, I was not a fan.
