Went to Saturday lunch with her girlfriends in downtown Dickson TN. Lugo's is open for lunch from 11 am - 2 pm. They will take a reservation for a group. Their lunch menu is somewhat different than the dinner menu but features the fan favorite Grits with a spicy Sausage and Grits. Totally YUM! Their Mahi Mahi fish were a special for the day and were wonderful. Salmon Sliders and slow cooked BBQ pork quesadillas also found their way to our table! Our waiter Steve was terrific and very attentive. We started with the fried plantain chips with a dipping sauce that was more than enough for the give of us to munch on before and during our meal. The food was served very quickly and was presented very nicely on the plate. The dessert menu features crème brûlée, coffee tiramisu, chocolate brownies, ice creams and sorbets. Desserts the right size to finish a lovely meal without putting you in a sugar coma. The decor is nice and inviting st lunchtime and at dinner. It's our family's favorite special occasion restaurant. A nice touch was that the chef came out to greet and talk to everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a more upscale type atmosphere that is too over the top.
