When I say that I accidentally "dropped" my MacBook, that wouldn't be the entire truth...not quite, anyway. When I say that afterward when I picked up my MacBook, the screen was "shattered." That's a bit closer to truth. I mean, it was. It really was! Yet, again, "shattered" doesn't seem to rightly imply the impact that, upon opening, drove splinters of glass to rain upon my feet. The embarrassing truth is that my MacBook slid from atop my SUV...while I was driving. Right turn, full throttle--it abandoned its perch and smashed onto the street. (I'd placed it up top while I fished for my keys, forgot about it when I'd unlocked the door, and suffered the consequences after I drove away.) Time to Yelp! Beyond the rubble of the accident-prone (like myself), Mac Help OC emerges; and Matt and Tim, applauding efforts such as mine, welcome you! Both of them, really, are great guys. I'm not as computer-savvy as I'd like to think I am--just simply navigating through Google Docs unnerves me--but for these two, Macs are child's play. Within a few days, my new display was mounted and I was back in business (for the time being, anyway.) I'm hoping I won't be crossing Mac Help's threshold anytime soon; but truthfully (in fact, sadly) my laptop has been flung from my truck twice now...within the same year. So, yeah...
