In some ways, I dislike this Macy's and in other ways, I like it a lot. Yes, I do wish this was a better Macy's. It's a shame that it's not. It's kind of subpar as far as Macy's goes, but it does have its strengths. Nonetheless, I shop here often and I've snagged some really good deals when I've paid close attention. In truth, it sometimes has felt like they gave me the merchandise, the discounts were that good. The best deals are usually in women's and men's clothing and housewares. I know all of the girls working at the makeup counters and the Clinique counter is clearly the winner here, with Elizabeth Arden a close second in terms of both customer service and selection. I tend to buy most of my clothes here, as does my husband. We like the Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein sections the best. I wish the clothing sections were better organized. After their huge Macy's One Day Sales, the areas look like a cyclone hit it. It also seems half of the fitting rooms are routinely closed for no reason. I don't care for the shoe department too much, just far too much attitude to spare from the sales staff. The jewelry department used to be a goldmine of good deals, but I've struck out lately. The upstairs home department is nice and that's where you get the most service. I buy most of my towels and bedding and kitchenware here. It's probably the most well-organized section of the store, but they no longer have a Starbucks cafe upstairs or a restaurant. That's unfortunate. This Macy's used to have a really nice gift wrapping area downstairs in the customer service wing, but sadly, that is gone now as well. read more
