I haven't written a review in 10 years, but this place is such a hidden gem I had to come out of my hibernation just to share it with the world.
It's got American (burgers, Nashville hot), Mexican (birria), and Asian (lo mein, general gao). Usually, when a place tries to do too much, it ends up doing nothing well. But Mada knocks everything out of the park.
The burger is thick style, not smash. I just tried the classic but next time I'd get the house burger, which has jalapeños and onions. The Nashville chicken sandwich has a great flavor but not enough heat even at max spice (the owner said he'll dial it up going forward). The general gao was a hit with my family tho it doesn't come with rice or noodles -- just a big plate of chicken (if you come during lunch hours I'd get the lunch combo which is half noodles half general gao).
Started by a husband and wife team just a month ago, it's an all halal family business. Total welcome addition to the weak halal food scene in greater Boston. Excited to keep going back to try everything! read more
