My first time at Mare e Monte. The restaurant is very cute, located in a shopping center off of Huebner Rd. The interior definitely makes you feel like you're somewhere else. The food needs a bit of help but I gave 4 stars because the service was excellent. Our server was great, very attentive and what topped it off is the owner came and said hello to us, asked if we needed anything and sat to chat with us for a bit. I think it's really rare to find service like that nowadays and I think with a bit of suggestions this place could be really great. The iced tea needs to be served with more ice, we're in Texas you gotta do ice tea right! Also the dishes came out a bit Luke warm. The Adriatic shrimp had good butter flavor but needed some salt while the rotini with Alfredo sauce was a bit salty and was the coldest dish to come out sadly. The lamb chops, scallops and garlic mashed potatoes were amazing though I'm still thinking about them and the complimentary bread was so good too! read more
