A group of us stopped into Mean Queen for lunch while exploring Sitka. Mean Queen offers a full bar. There is a pool table as well as mounted TVs for entertainment. Discover is an accepted form of payment. While looking over the menu, I sipped on a glass of Pinot Grigio for $9. My daughter had a Mean Queen Ice Tea for $7. Our table shared the Fried Cheese Curds for $11 and Ghosted Wings (qty 10) for $19. My daughter and I ordered an Oyster Shooter for $3.50 each. The mignonette was missing. We also ordered an Oyster Shooter for $8.50 which was served alongside a shot of tomato juice. We're from Washington and our oysters are served with pizazz. The oysters we received were lackluster and it didn't help that the mignonette was missing. I should have read the room better and ordered pizza like all the other patrons were doing. Service was disjointed. Overall, our stop into Mean Queen was quite disappointing. read more
