I had to drop off my Mac desktop at this location because it kept rebooting for some reason. I had an appointment for 11am. Well I'm here to tell you the appointments are for show and that's it. Once you get there and if they have a line, you have to wait in line point blank. No if's ands or buts about it.
Seeing the technician:
Well I had to wait for nearly 20 minutes before I got to see an Apple technician which there was only one. The great thing about it there were about 5 people ahead of me that didn't have anything Mac related.
I spoke to him and told him what was going on and everything I already did from the Apple website to rectify the situation but no dice. So my warranty expired two months ago and I had to pay $40 for diagnostics. Ok, I can handle that.
He told me he would call the next day but I ended up calling him. He told me he didn't find anything wrong at all and he said he would just wipe it clean and reinstall the system. I said that's a great idea, whatever is in there making it do that will go away. I did have 3 third party apps that I was using and got rid of two of them before I bought it over. That still didn't help.
He wiped it the day we talked and I picked it up the next day. It was like a brand new Mac straight out of the box. I have everything back set up so I'm doing great now. I was depressed without my baby for 2 days though. Ughhh!!
Total cost:
The total cost I paid was $40. I was totally worried that I would spend close to $300 for repairs since it's a Mac. I almost gave them 4 stars due to the appointment thing. However I didn't spend anything but $40 so that's automatically an additional star!! read more
