The place is pretty cool with so many options and niche specific things. I came in specifically for computer related needs so this is more focused on that. As soon as you walk in they have computer cases on display. If you go deeper in, you'll see keyboards and get the feel of them. Obviously a perk of brick and mortar stores is being able to see and experience it first hand before purchasing. After some time I realized I have expensive taste. So after selecting my item I'm taken to the front to get checked out. It's a separate line from the regular checkout line. The cashier calls someone from the regular line (no big deal) except now what would've been a quick check out process became a long wait. After some time, the manager came over and checked us out. Been going to Microcenter for years. My old unit unfortunately conked out and had its last dance. Had to make a new desktop build and decision between building or a prebuilt. I had an amazing experience with the team today! Sara helped me pick out the perfect parts for my custom build, Hashim handled the diagnostics, and Simon put everything together beautifully. That can run a super ai that can help create all creative things designs even audio work and video and simulations really work of all types. The team here really helped Sara Flore, David Suh, Stephen Fraser and David Hill really helped me get the best case scenario for all the interior made sure it was compatible it fit together things I might have gotten wrong if I did it myself. Some amazing experts and Sara made sure I had style with my choice very passionate workers. Had a plan to pick up a chair elsewhere. Other big box stores sold me cheaper high back office chairs that didn't last more than the warranty. I was in MC on a cable search when I saw their chair high on the top shelf. I found a sales assoc and had two pulled down. *** Now 4 years later I am still loving my purchase. *** I usually find what I need here but often more than i expected. Great job. Every time I've gone here I've been satisfied and have a good experience. The staff are nerds at heart and treat you like family. They don't bs around you and sell stuff, they'll straight up tell you they're not knowledgeable and not try to make up things. Since my last review I have had the pleasure of meeting David Kelly, Jared Riviera, and Lucas. I will start with my last visit. David Kelly was so helpful. I'm trying to train my puppy so often I will take him with me. I recently moved and needed a boost to the Wi-Fi and David was able to guide me in the right direction. When my first option didn't work and I had to return it David showed me the extenders that I would need and how to go about installing them. It was definitely a win win.. Even though I don't think it was his section he also helped me to find a screen protector for a phone that I had yet to purchase but I now have. Lucas was definitely helpful when I went to purchase a printer. I had heard or read that LaserJet printer's are better because they don't run out of ink as quickly. Lucas took his time and went over several different options and I was very satisfied with my purchase. Jared helped me with one of my first purchases on the sales floor. I needed quite a few things because I recently bought a desk and I needed everything from cable ties to a USB extender and a few other things. Jared was so kind and so helpful. I came here to pick up my order with my wife & I wanted to see if I would be treated differently if I came back in without her. Ladies & gentlemen, yes. As a male, I am treated MUCH differently without my wife walking besides me. I get it, my wife's beautiful & she's a catch, raised by a well-known pastor, but this micro center needs to hire more females to keep the male employees interested in the non-married women demographic. Here's what happened: I came in to pick up my order, a gentlemen with glasses came out which seems like the manager & randomly came out of the back room, approached my wife & I & gave us his card. How often does this happen? I'm not sure. But after I loaded my order in my car, I came back into the store with a few questions & returned my cart. I had to drop off my Mac desktop at this location because it kept rebooting for some reason. I had an appointment for 11am. Well I'm here to tell you the appointments are for show and that's it. Once you get there and if they have a line, you have to wait in line point blank. No if's ands or buts about it. Seeing the technician: Well I had to wait for nearly 20 minutes before I got to see an Apple technician which there was only one. The great thing about it there were about 5 people ahead of me that didn't have anything Mac related. I spoke to him and told him what was going on and everything I already did from the Apple website to rectify the situation but no dice. So my warranty expired two months ago and I had to pay $40 for diagnostics. Ok, I can handle that. He told me he would call the next day but I ended up calling him. He told me he didn't find anything wrong at all and he said he would just wipe it clean and reinstall the system. I said that's a great idea, whatever is in there making it do that will go away. I did have 3 third party apps that I was using and got rid of two of them before I bought it over. That still didn't help. He wiped it the day we talked and I picked it up the next day. It was like a brand new Mac straight out of the box. I have everything back set up so I'm doing great now. I was depressed without my baby for 2 days though. Ughhh!! Total cost: The total cost I paid was $40. I was totally worried that I would spend close to $300 for repairs since it's a Mac. I almost gave them 4 stars due to the appointment thing. However I didn't spend anything but $40 so that's automatically an additional star!! read more

I needed a USB A to Lightning charging cable for my iPhone. I was out on the road for work - and had left all my cables back at the hotel, and my iPhone was almost out of charge. Micro Center closes close to 9:00 pm - I got there about 10 minutes before they closed. I wandered around until I found the Apple section, then it took me about 10 minutes to flag down an employee to unlock the display case and retrieve the charging cable I needed. I, a published novelist, have purchased several PCs over the years and was always pleased with the products and services of Micro Center (both Marietta & Duluth) but this time, August 2025, after getting numerous Microsoft messages (threats?) that my existing setup "would not be supported after October 2025" I brought my old PC to the Micro Center Duluth GA store for a new PC, new monitor & prime tech support. Nothing went right. The store kept both the old PC and new PC for an entire week but gave up saying "a store wide problem with their firewall stopped them from installing Office" which I paid for - something no one at the upper levels of tech support in Ohio believed. Furthermore, they never transferred documents from my old system. What were they doing for an entire week with both of my devices? Finally I was told to pick up both systems, go home and log on and with one touch install Office myself. Another lie! NOTHING loaded, not even with long sessions by phone with Premium Tech Support in Ohio. A techie told me he would have the manager "reach out to me from the Duluth store" - never happened. An asst. mngr eventually phoned so I asked if he could send someone to my home office to help but he insisted they don't make house calls. Instead, he expected me to dismantle the new system and haul it back to the store with the old PC and he'd have a look. No way. I had lost all faith in that establishment. After 2 weeks of this B.S. I returned all the new stuff - $1400 worth - nothing accomplished except I did find out that the Office coded card in the folder I was given had already been used by someone else - a prior customer? If I could give a score of Below Zero, I certainly would. Total failure. I'm not the only unhappy customer - when I picked up the 2 PCs, while waiting a long while in line, a female customer was sitting on the floor crying about her laptop, Office & Power Point while 2 or 3 guys "assisted": an omen of things to come. read more

As most who probably shop here, we all know that it is almost impossible to buy computer graphics cards unless you are willing to sell your unborn children. I recently started buying items for a new build and still cannot buy a graphics card and refuse to pay someone $1,500 for a $486 GPU. I have visited this Micro Center store a few times and even though I still have yet to purchase a 3070 or 3080, the employees here have been extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and will take the time to listen and give you suggestions. They have outstanding customer service and I really appreciate that. Besides getting a GPU (they only sell 2GB cards, unless you are willing to sleep overnight in the parking lot and waiting in a line M-F with scalpers and possibly get lucky) I would highly recommend coming here. In the past, We have spent a lot of money with Microcenter, but now do be aware when buying a warranty, it seems that there is now 2 different warranties instead of one. They are not including accidental warranty in the warranty unless you are paying for both. This is not the way it use to be, this was always included in the warranty! I don't buy warranties without this and it seems that whoever rang/or wrote this up, did not include the accidental insurance on it, which I always pay for! Please check your receipts that they have included accidental and not the regular that doesn't pay for anything that happens to your purchase, they will only give you back whatever you paid for the warranty, period! Why would you think that this is a good idea Microcenter? you had the best warranty and now charging a whole lot more $$ for less... Shame on you Microcenter!! read more

**Online Order** My PC died while I was having a resurgence of PC gaming and getting back to talking to my old friends that I've left long ago to well do, you know life. So, when that all came crashing down one morning (and on my day off) I tried to troubleshoot my PC. Found out that it was probably the processor or heat sink, when taking it apart...I think I kind of screwed up by not heating up my heatsink hot enough to take that 7 year old thermal paste off. Off came the heat sink with the processor fused together. After some tries of still unsuccessfully trying to remove the two, I said screw it. Time to buy a new computer. So going through my usual places of online shopping, during COVID-19, this is probably not the best place or method. When my friend suggested Micro Center I immediately hopped on there to see what they had in stock. Luckily they had everything! I needed and also had some great savings as I bought a motherboard out of the box which saved me $40 on top of it already being discounted and then a processor with ram included. I spent under $600 which I was expected to spend that much or more. I reserved the parts online and when to the store literally an hour later. Walk into the store, and damn, they're giving out masks and spraying your hands before you even walk into the store. This was the first time that I saw that, which was really cool that they were also giving out face masks. Went and stood in line for online orders got my things and got out. It was very orderly, and the service of getting my parts were pretty awesome. My discount also didn't go through online when I reserved my order, but when I got to the check out the person saw it and applied it which was pretty nice. I'll definitely recommend Micro Center if you're looking to get quick PC parts at a pretty good price. I'll definitely come back here and keep this place in my thoughts if I'm looking to upgrade (or repair in this case) or build another PC. read more

I was plesantly surprised last week when a Micro-Center manager reached out to me. We had a plesant discussion with a truly sincere apology from him on behalf of the store and the company. He offered a very good discount on a higher grade model. I appreciate the gesture but have decided on a different route for my computer going forward. This place is Nerdvana. You know that smell electronics have? As soon as you walk through the door, it smacks you in the face. Take a deep breath. They have pretty much anything you need pertaining to computers, televisions, printers, gaming, internet, cable...I mean really, you could spend all day here if you're in to that stuff. Do you need a $4000 65 inch HP Monitor? They have it. Speaking of HP, I met a very nice man here named Forrest Byrd. He's a district sales leader for HP. He was very passionate about computers and was the one who showed me the giant HP Monitor. He doesn't work at Micro Center but he likes to hang out there. I liked him. He had a nice personality. We bought a modem, a cable, and a Gatorade. They have cold drinks near the check outs. And, that's another thing...there were a lot of people shopping and they had plenty of registers open. On Jan 24 2025, I ordered a laptop screen from Micro Center at 1275 Powers Ferry Rd. Marietta, GA 30067 from Jamie Rodriguez. I never got notification when the screen was delivered to the store. On Feb 4, 2025 I reached out to get the status on the screen. I received a response on Feb 5, 2025 that it will be dropped off at the Duluth location. On Feb 6, 2025, I brought my computer to 2340 Pleasant Hill Rd, GA 30096 store for a service repair. I was told the screen was still not at the Duluth location and they will pick it up that day. At the time of drop-off, the computer was fully functional asid from the screen issue. The computer had no damages on the exterior. There was no mention of any found damages before work started. I was told the repair will be completed by Feb 7 2025. When I picked up the device on Feb 8 2025. There was no information or comments on the service sheet when given to me. After returning home and opening it I noticed the hinge on the right was not put together correctly as it turned on and put to use for a short time, it shut off and never turned back on. I noticed a bulged and melted area near the left hinge area. I returned it to the store on Feb 9 2025 and explained about the hinge, bulge, and the computer not turning on. On Feb 10 2025, I received a text that the computer was ready to pick up. I called to ask about the computer functioning and was told it was not checked. I end up speaking with a manager, Dylan Pilgram. In speaking with him and explaining this whole situation. I also asked about the delay of the screen and he stated that it was delivered to the Maritta store on Feb 1 2025 but never got notification until I reached out myself. He stated that there was damage from under the laptop that led to damage to the screen. I stated to him that it was not what damaged the screen and there was no damage to the laptop at all when I turned it in. I asked about the melted bulge near the screen area and he stated it was due to old age or wear. He informed me that the one who took my work order did not do their job correctly by not annotating what needed to be done for repairs. He stated that Paul Holebrook, Service Supervisor, did the repair. Damage to the computer was not present when I dropped off the device, nor did it occur while it was in my possession. When I picked up the computer on Feb 11 2025 I believe the damages occured while my computer was under Microcenter's care. As the device was handled exclusively by your technicians during this time. The quality of workmanship is in question from the initial installation on Feb 8 2025. No notes from your store indicating any damage before the start of work. read more
