I had a terrible metal on metal sound when leaving the Midway post office. Entered the freeway at Lexington and it only got worse, so I stopped on the freeway (which is frightening in and of itself) but could not see a flat or anything wrong. Exited at Dale and wondered where on University might have an auto place and this was the first one. When I turned into a parking space there it stopped - so likely a pebble that dropped out. I was very concerned there may be more permanent damage or that it could start up again so I went in to have it put on the lift and checked. Total fee, $28.50, total time, under 20 minutes. He checked all four tires anyway. I also mentioned that I forgot to put my new plates on (when he was looking for the plate number) and he also did that without asking.
