Brought my car in yesterday 7/29/16 at 6:30am to be the first person to be seen as I made the appointment a few nights in advance. I was first and happy thinking it was going to go well. I was SO WRONG. I bought my car from SUBARU MILEA 6 years ago and have NEVER taken it anywhere else for ANYTHING. I passed by around 12pm and my car was sitting on the street. Naturally, I was happy thinking, wow that was quick. Sent my husband in to inquire and found that all they had done from 7:30am to 12:00pm was a diagnostic check (rode the car around) that said what I already told them. Reasoning behind that was customers who came AFTER me had simple things they needed so they took them first because it didn't make sense for them to wait hours for a 20 minute job. (I guess my time and being the early bird means nothing anymore) When I finally got a price quote I decided to hold off on the over $1,700 worth of work that needed to be done; to my surprise and just requested the recall work of the airbags that I was told "Might" or might not be in after being sent a voicemail saying they were in. I Had to now leave my car overnight, which I was trying to avoid by bringing it in first thing. Upon picking it up the next day, I had damage to the interior that wasn't there 24hrs before. The gear shift clicks now when I step on the brakes. The car sputtered like it wanted to shut off. I was told it was due to a 25 point check they did that I didn't request and is no longer required. The dashboard was removed and this is what I am dealing with now: Coin/ashtray compartment does not stay closed...compartment above coin compartment is hard to open and clearly uneven off hinge. There are Dents and gouges where the airbag would have been maneuvered on the vinyl of the dashboard. I may not drive a BMW, Lexus or Mustang but it's still MY car and I know every scratch on it. To be told that my car is 10 years old and probably just starting to fall apart was a rude, judgmental and unprofessional comment. We were given a "free" oil and filter change to shut us up prior to finding the damage but in the paperwork it states it was given because of customer confusion of work to be done when we clearly told them just to change the airbag and nothing else after the quote. We also stated we did NOT request for anything to be "given free". According to JASON, "his dealership" wasn't going to fix anything that wasn't touched while only replacing the airbag. Correct me if I'm wrong but changing the oil and filter and supposedly connecting it to do a 25 point check is not part of replacing an airbag. We were told to contact the owner on Monday. I really hope the last 6 years counts for something and that we aren't shunned away with a free car wash. I'll be coming back to add to this after Monday, I'm hoping with good news. I will add photos of the damage. And BTW all of a sudden my headlight was out too. read more
