Will O. August 2025 Last 2 oil changes were a horror show , last September had oil and filter changed drove a block smoke coming out from under hood. Service Tec spilled engine oil all over engine compartment never cleaned up the mess, returned 3 times before it was properly cleaned. Returned June 2025 for another oil and filter change but before leaving inspected under hood and again found oil all over engine cover and had them clean oil spill. Extremely Sloppy Workers cant trust these people to be competent in their work . These people could not perform a simple oil change I can only imagine how bad they could screw up Major Work on your car. Also noticed I was never sent a Survey after each visit. read more

Andrew, the service manager, went above and beyond to assist me with an issue that I had with my 2024 Forester Wilderness that had a malfunctioning eyesight system that then caused the vehicle to go into limp mode. I ended up dogging it to another dealer closer to my home up north. Throughout the ordeal Andrew kept in touch with me and even the next day called me to see how things went. There was nothing in it for him, as he knew I took the vehicle to another dealer. Every time I go here someone is either rude, talks down to me or does something really unpleasant. Even the guy who drives my car into the service area is crappy. Just sorta grunts at me and expects me to read his mind about where to leave my car. It's that feeling when you do business with an outlet that doesn't really care about you cause you are stuck. We stopped in on a drive to Boston because our tire pressure light came on and there was a weird noise. We feared a tire was about to blow out (this had happened on the highway to us previously). Milea Subaru fit us in right away when they heard our situation. They discovered the sensor was broken off but the tire was fine. With no danger of a blow out we could get the sensor fixed when we got back to Boston. Milea Subaru was super helpful and didn't even charge us for checking out the problem. read more

This review is solely based on the service department I originally leased a '21 Crosstrek, upon delivery the steering wheel was nicked, the sales rep Chris promised to have that changed out with a new one. I showed up to the service department as I was told to arrive today, the Service manager named ED was NOT a nice fellow, he was visually frustrated, grumpy, disgruntled and started murmuring stuff under neath his breath. I get that there might be some miscommunication internally between the sales rep, manager and etc, however, that was a really bad first impression and clearly NOT MY FAULT AS THE CUSTOMER. They switched out the steering wheels, however upon driving away and some inspection, the steering wheel alignment was way off, it leaned to the left A LOT, I turned around, went back, asked the grumpy service manager to adjust it, didn't say anything, walked away, the tech (not even entirely sure he was a tech, he didn't have a uniform, just like street clothes) came out and readjusted, which I appreciate, though it wasn't adjusted enough. Now I am driving a 1 month old car around while the steering wheel is turned to the left to drive straight. Not a huge deal, but it is when you live in Queens, and have to drive over the Whitestone bridge to get something replaced that should have been right the first time, secondly, now I have to go back to ANOTHER dealer, schedule another appointment, just to actually FIX the issue. I intend to never return there, which is sad because Chris the sales rep is a good guy, and wanted to give him future/return business with another lease, but based on this I won't be returning what so ever. I also intend to email corporate also regarding all that went down, this was such a waste of a day and left me with more problems than solutions. Beware, this place is fraudulent in billing and will double the rate they quote you. Brought a car here for service and was told the work would take 4 hours at $153 an hour for labor. Upon receiving the bill I was charged for 7 hours of labor. While I understand that the shop has set times for each task, the total time (7 hours) was never provided to me prior to billing. I was just told 4 hours at $153 an hour. So they openly lied about the cost I was expected to pay until I received the itemized bill (which was nearly twice that much). This is deliberate fraud. Upon speaking to the manager, Ed, he was rude and dismissive and continually degraded me, suggesting that I was too stupid to understand that there are set labor times for each task, despite the issue being that I was never provided those prior to receiving my bill. On top of this, the actual labor times for each task are insanely overblown as compared to other shops. This is done to fluff the bill of people who don't know about cars. So in addition to lying to me about the cost of labor prior to receiving my bill, they have a systematic standard of lying to customers. For instance, "adding fuel cleaner" was billed for hundreds of dollars, including an hour of labor. This consists of pouring a $5-10 bottle of fuel cleaner into the tank. It takes less than 30 seconds. There were many charges like this applied without my knowing beforehand. Ed says he does this to even customer who walks in the shop. Overall, they were openly fraudulent and rude and will lie to you about the cost of working on your car until they've actually completed the work and it's too late. After going through a nightmare with another dealership, Eric welcomed me and helped explain an expedited timeline to get my lease all set up. He was very professional and responsive - always answering my questions promptly and taking action proactively to make it easier on me. My experience with this business has consistently not been good, particularly with Milea Service Center. I leased a 2019 Subaru Forester in Oct 2018. In February of 2019 I was rear ended, the damage wasn't severe, crack in my bumper, but the body was slightly dented underneath, so they had to remove & replace the entire back bumper. I had a few scratches on the car also, so I asked to have them fixed while the work was getting done as well. After checking in on the progress I was told that my car was done and I would be able to pick it up at the end of the day after it had been detailed. When I returned to pick up my car, the back bumper cover had not be installed properly and a gap was left between the bumper and the car. Whatever compound they had used to "glue" things back together was left in all the cracks around the bumper. The scratches had not been fixed, which was obvious because the neon pink marker they used to mark the scratches was still on the car. On top of all that, the car was never detailed, or even washed before they tried to return it to me. I had driven the car, brand new, off the lot less than 4 months prior, I didn't see any reason the car should be anything less than what it was. After asking them to fix the issues, it became a 2 week back and forth, with me returning for the car multiple times and still finding issues. The car was finally returned to me over 2 weeks later. I was gonna chop that up to maybe just a busy time or an unfortunate incident but fast forward over two years later...... I had to bring my Forester in for a recall repair yesterday. I was close to my last oil change/tire rotation, as my lease is up in a few months, I asked if they could also do that, so I wouldn't have to make another trip. When they rotated my tires they found a screw had damaged one of them. So, I bought a new tire and was told that it would be delivered later that day. They didn't want me to wait for it, so they put my temporary spare tire on my car and told me they would call me to come back in a few hours. I went about my business and when I noticed my tire pressure light go on. It was starting to get late so I tried calling them and only got the automated machine. Since I couldn't get thru to anyone I made my way back to the service center to find it had been CLOSED, for the rest of the weekend, with no notice or communication from them. I drive my car for work, all around the 5 boroughs & New Jersey, and I work 16hr days. I am unable to bring my car in for service during the week, and I can not drive the distance I drive on a temporary spare tire. I had to quickly think of solutions, so I was going to buy a second new tire and have it installed at a tire shop. Found the tire I needed in Queens, I drove out there to only find out that I still could not get my tire replaced because Milea kept my tire rim with the damaged tire they removed. So I am stranded with no car for an entire week because I can not trust, nor is it safe to drive on a temporary spare for that amount of time. I was planning on buying my next Forester once I handed in my lease, but I will not be buying from Milea. It is my experience that once you have the car the maintenance is not a priority, nor is customer service. Dealing with them is stressful & disappointing. read more

Went there for a free service and it definitely wasn't worth it. This is a long one, there's a TLDR at the bottom. My Subaru was a part of the airbag recall so I scheduled an appointment online, but called after in case they needed to order the part. They said that was the case and that it may be a few weeks before the part came in. They took down my info and said they'd call when it came in. That was July 11th. August 25th I called to check on the status, the parts guy said he was busy but took down my info and said he'd check on it and call. October 6th I called to check in. Again. They said they had the part in stock and to make an appointment later next week when they weren't too busy. Made the appointment and brought my car in 8am October 13th and was told they'd be finished around 2-4pm. They called to say they were finished around 4pm and I arranged to pickup the car the next morning. They called the next morning(after I was already on the Subway) to tell me they weren't finished. THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE PART. Over 3 months later and they didn't have the part. After much yelling they said they would take the part from someone else who was scheduled to be there but hadn't showed yet. Finished late that night and threw in some fluid changes and offered to drive it back to me so I didn't have to travel out to them. With my car finally back in my possession and and the ordeal over I felt incredibly relieved, only to realize they had been so rough with the dash they cracked the plastic in 3 places, the top flip compartment wouldn't open, and the vinyl was cracked and gouged. In the end I would rather have taken my car to a place I trust and paid out of pocket for repairs I can trust. Got a bill back for routine maintenance including rear brakes, oil change, and filters changed. A little over 4 hour of work and was charged over $1000 for labor which is INSANE. When I called I was told "we had 2 guys working on it" which means they just decided to charge double the cost of labor?? $300 an hour in labor to change brakes??? No other mechanic shop operates this way and I never agreed to this. $152 an hour is already in the high range for labor but just doubling it and never consulting the customer is robbery. Was just told "the manager will call you eventually". This is not ethical or legal. I am reporting this to the better business bureau. This place commits actual fraud. read more

I appreciate her patience as I run through my WFH schedule and in office schedule trying to figure out the best time to come in for service. Second Subaru Dealer that I tried in NYC. I had driven out to NJ and went to Hudson Subaru and they were useless. So trying a second dealer to find out why my engine light is on. This time drove to the Bronx. Milea at least was close to the correct diagnostic on the car. They were able to tell me that there was something wrong with the transmission valve body, but they got the diagnostic wrong. Arrived at 8:30AM, at 12:30PM told that needed a new transmission $1795!, I had no faith that these people could repair the car even if they were correct. Milea Subaru service is THE WORST. They broke a lug stud on my front right hub during service, made note of it on my invoice, but returned my vehicle to me without replacing the lug stud. Additionally, I had to return for my 24,000 mile service THREE times because even though I arrived at 8:30am for a scheduled "while-I-wait" service, Milea could not complete an oil change and tire rotation in less than three hours. We leased a car from Milea a year ago. This review is really about the service department. We don't use the car all that much so I had an oil change at another mechanic during the 1st year. When it was time for the state inspection, we brought it back for the inspection and a few minor mechanical/electrical issues. Linda, who made the appointment on the phone and Chris who handled the inspection and the service were both fantastic. Professional, customer focused and helpful. While inspecting they discovered that our battery was not charging properly and while we were still under warranty, replaced it. I dropped my car off for a new tire and didn't get it back for 8 days. During this time, the service manager was uncommunicative (unless I called him, and he sounded annoyed when I did call him) and dismissive, gave me incorrect information, and was totally unapologetic about the delays. From first to last, I had the impression that the staff was harried and overworked and perhaps made mistakes because of that, but the service manager was just rude - there's no excuse for that. This review is for Subaru Service only. First, it took an hour for them to even take my car when I dropped it off as they were busy moving cars because of opposite side of the street parking (this seems like an untenable system but it's the Bronx so okay). I had to come to the dealership in person in order to order the tire because for some reason they can't take payments online or over the phone with a credit card - this is a major inconvenience. Later, when they also needed to order a rim, the service manager told me I had left it too late in the day to order it because I had not responded to an email that he had written (to a misspelled version of my email address, which he then discovered; also, he could have just CALLED me, so this was a totally invalid excuse). He did get me a loaner car unprompted, which I appreciated, but which honestly was the least he could do in view of the mistake and the delay. I resigned myself to wait another two days, but when I called then, I was told that someone had forgotten to order the part, and that meant waiting another three days because of the weekend. The service manager also disavowed all responsibility for this delay since it was, according to him, the fault of someone in parts. Totally unprofessional - you are responsible to keep the promises you make, and he did not deliver the car when promised. The car was not ready until very late in the day three days later (something which I would not have known had I not called them), so I finally picked it up on the fourth day. Linda in customer service was very polite (and apologetic), but the service manager seemed totally unfazed and uninterested in how unhappy I was. The quality of the repair was fine, but the service was appalling. I am not sure whether this bad service results from the fact that the service department is understaffed, or whether this is a typical customer service experience for them and they think this is an appropriate way to treat customers, but it has resulted in the permanent loss of my business and that of my family. I paid my bill because I wanted my car back (after EIGHT DAYS, let me say again), but my payment in no way reflects my satisfaction with the service, which was unacceptable. read more

My husband and I currently live in Orange County, NY but decided to travel the hour and a half to purchase our new Forester from Milea Subaru. After calling a few Subaru dealers near us, Milea was the ONLY one not gauging its customers by marking up the vehicle were were having built and ordering. Other places have quoted us up to $1,500 more on top of the build. Other dealers, in my opinion are taking advantage of the shortage/demand for vehicles by charging their customers more simply because they can. Having moved from the Bronx over a decade ago, we haven't been to Milea in a long time. We were ecstatic that Milea has not changed and that it's still providing its buyers with a quality customer experience. Having that said, Milea Subaru gave me one of the best car experiences I've ever had. I've been looking for a Subaru for quite a while and it was just a matter of which dealership I wanted to go to. After going online and looking at which dealership I should go to I concluded that Milea Subaru had the best reviews and customer satisfaction. So, on a Saturday afternoon I walked into Milea Subaru to speak with a sales rep. Walked into the dealership and I noticed that their cars were kept clean and the facility was clean. I was first greeted by Calvin who asked if I had any questions. Calvin ended up showing me the WRX which was the car I wanted and the features it had. He seemed to know a lot about the car since he owns one and even offered to let me test drive it if I wanted to. Later, we sat down and I told him the trim and the color I wanted and he started to search for the exact car I wanted. While Calvin was searching for the 2018 WRX, he also told me that the 2019 is coming out in a month and the 2019 comes with apple car play which the 2018 doesn't have. I was glad he told me this because I ended up getting the 2019 WRX because of apple car play. Once Calvin finished the order I decided to put my deposit down and look no further. He could have just sold me a 2018 right off the lot and not told me about the 2019's updates but I was glad he actually went over everything with me. A month later Calvin called telling me my car has just arrived right off the truck. I came to the dealership the next day to pick it up as well as finishing additional paperwork. I picked up my car and I've now driven it for a while and I've enjoyed every second of it. Calvin also called me to check up on how I like my new car and it was nothing but positive things I had to tell him. Even though Milea Subaru requires me to drive much further and pay a toll to get there I would highly recommend Milea Subaru to anyone looking for a Subaru. I love my salesman who sold me my outback 2 years ago.. However, I'm only giving 1 star because the service department is terrible! The lady who works there can be somewhat nasty! The gentleman with the white hair who seems to be in charge is a real piece of work! Who I feel talks down to woman. Took my car for a recall they did a terrible job. When I picked up my car it had a terrible gas Oder. I got halfway home and turned around to go back... when I walked in the service office I told him something was wrong my car stinks of gas. He came out and said they had to drain gas out of it and the smell will go away patted me on the arm and told me to watch it. Needless to say I went back today was ignored by 2 gentleman in the office and finally the white haired man came out of the back and I told him the car still smells horrible. He told me to pull it in. Waited again and a nice young man named Eric came out to help me. He took my car in and low and behold there was a problem! He was the only one at the service department that was helpful concerned and actually cared about what I was saying. Thank you to Eric for helping me and fixing the problem. I bought a forester from Milea in July. Chris the salesperson was ok, not sleazy but not totally trustworthy either. After that, harder to get a hold of them. Took the vehicle in for service for a problem and was left waiting for over 3 hours (at a nearby cafe). They never bothered to call me. When I went back to pick up the car, the guy had the nerve to say in a loud voice as I entered "I tried calling you but there is something wrong with your phone." Update - 13 January 2015 - almost one year later to the date! I arrived at 7:10am, and was approx. the sixth person on line (all waiting in their cars) for Milea to open at 7:30am. They opened on time - and it was about 7:40 by the time I handed my keys to the fellow parking the cars in the appropriate place (he was polite/nice and upbeat). Once inside, at the new reception desk (great visual improvement from last year), check-in was quick, efficient, polite - all good. Linda is great at the Service Dept. desk. I had to return for factory authorized inspection/repair of brake lines (freezing and corroding due to possible insufficient protection/insulation from road salt). What a difference a year makes: the waiting room has been re-done and is much more comfortable than 2014. The coffee is good and the lighting overhead (I read a lot while waiting) is good...a nice experience waiting for the repairs to be done. Bathroom is clean and nice. Folks in repair start at 8am...so if you arrive early there is a nice place to sit and wait - albeit with Fox News on TV (how about BBC news?) - Fox news is controversial and agitates folks with its angle on reporting the news...perhaps some in the waiting room don't appreciate this angle? I highly suggest a more neutral news source... The repair took about 90 minutes - completed by 9:15am. Granted that mine was an easy one to complete - it seemed to me I was the first person sent on my way. After the repair, everything in our vehicle (Subaru Forrester) seems the same (fine) - and the SUV was given back to me in the same condition I gave it to them: clean! (Last year the fellow who worked on my car left oil stains on the back of the seat and the rug.) OK Milea - much better in 2015 than 2014...keep it up. We got a great deal on our 2015 Outback through Joe at Milea. We didn't even go in to make the deal. We knew what we wanted and did everything over the phone. We felt very taken care of. Minus 1 star because they initially screwed up our paperwork and we had to come back which was inconvenient. Mistakes happen but we think it would have been classy for them to offer to send a car to bring us back the second time instead of taking the bus. read more
