Mizu Izakaya was a bit of a letdown. The restaurant doesn't quite match the upmarket photos online, it's fairly cramped and, as others have mentioned, has more of a clubby vibe. The service was friendly though and the staff were clearly working very hard on a busy night. We ordered several items from the happy hour menu, but when they were made gluten free, the prices doubled, which was a surprise when the check arrived. They could also do with more vegan options. I'm glad I tried it, but with so many excellent sushi options in Denver, and other great places in this same area, I don't see myself returning. read more
