If you're in Memphis for business, DO NOT stay here. It had one of the worst in-room workspaces ever. I sat in a chair that rocks that's like a foot off the ground working on a small folding table that was hanging from the wall.
With that being said, it's a neat boutique hotel. They have a public "ironing room" where you can iron with friends, or pick up some toiletries for your room. There's a bar in the lobby as well as arcade games and lots of seating. They're going for a fun, community vibe... it was just missing people I guess.
The pillows were garbage and that's so common at hotels these days. I stay in a lot of hotels and waking up with a sore neck isn't the best. It either means crappy pillows or a fun night! In this case, it was the pillows.
There are a number of places nearby and I had some killer chicken wings at the Coop something or other and great coffee as well. The area in which this hotel located isn't the best, but there was a police presence as I walked around myself on a Sunday night.
The staff was friendly, I felt safe inside, and it was easy for rideshare to pickup and drop-off. Just due to the workspace issues alone, I probably wouldn't stay here again. read more
