I've tried to eat at Mulligan's a few times in the last few months but the line was too long. Tonight the line wasn't bad and it moves fast, so we went for it. We split an app, had prime rib and ribs, and I had a beer. $23 for both of us, with tax and tip, and we were full. It's a good deal and well worth it.
But we both decided that we'd have something different next time. The prime rib had an odd taste and texture, like it was frozen and then brined and marinated. The ribs were okay but the meat wasn't close to falling off the bone. If you close your eyes, you're not going to pretend you're at a steakhouse.
Everybody is eating at Mulligans. Old guys with their high waisted pants, heavily inked hipsters, young families, everybody. I'll gladly go back. You get at least what you pay for at Mulligan's and I'm not asking how they do it. read more
