We found this stand at the corner of SF's farmer's market and they unfortunately weren't selling all the items on their menu. What we did try, however, was incredibly tasty.
The Piroshki's soft, mildly chewy bread was perfectly salted, although there wasn't very much chicken inside.
The chebureki was incredibly soft and fluffy, like a cloud, and it was incredibly flavorful with a strong dill forward. Five dollars seemed a little steep, but as it was made fresh and prepared in front of us I could understand their reasoning.
Starting the show was the wrap, with the employees being kind and adding an extra skewer for no additional charge. The pickled carrots and onions with the savory, tender meat pieces tasted amazing with the bread. Complimented with all the items was also a sauce akin to a more flavorful marinara sauce, although I don't know the name.
A fantastic introduction to Russian food! I'd definitely come by again. :) read more
