Decided to check out the grand opening of this location. And we ended up getting two different dishes. Bun Bo Hue and the pork chop broken rice.
The bun Bo hue was quite blend, and there was not much flavor nor spice in the soup base.
As for the broken rice, The best thing about broken rice is nailing down 3 things.
the pork chop is about 60% protein while 40% of the pork chop was made up of fat, which was very disappointing. It was a mess on this due to how rubbery it was.
The broken rice could've been softer, but it felt a bit dry.
And lastly, the fish sauce was watered down with a bunch of garlic mince. Overall, this place, even though it was grand opening, it has an opportunity to bounce back from improving their quality and flavor. And for feedback when including pork chop with broken rice try not to include so much fat. read more
