Every few months when I visit this area I come to No. 1 Pho and am pleased every time.
When we arrived for lunch we were seated immediately and drink orders were taken. We went ahead and ordered the Fried Spring Rolls as an app because they are fantastic! The crunchiness of the wrap is absolutely wonderful with the pork and vegetable filling, emphasis on the pork.
For our main courses we ordered H3 Banh Xeo and #32 Bun Ga Nuong to try things we've not had before. We were not disappointed! The Bahn Xeo stuffed crepe was crunchy like nothing I've tried before and had good flavor. The Bun Ga Nuong with it's seasoned grilled chicken, pickled carrots, and thinly sliced cucumbers on cold noodles were a nice and refreshing change from a hot dish. I like spicy foods so I added chili paste to add a little heat.
My only issue, and it's not really an issue is that the wait time for dishes is a little long. Even during previous visits when the restaurant wasn't as busy the wait was a little long. Maybe that's a good sign that everything is prepared fresh to order.
I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more
