I did not stay there, but spend 3 days trapped in that hotel attending a convention. The carpets smelled and the food in the restaurant was unbearable. It tasted stale. In general the hotel could do with a proper clean.
The reception staff and restaurant staff seemed to disagree on certain topics what made me feel really uncomfortable. The kitchen personell and waiters were nice and accommodating.
I heard stories where customers were given keys to rooms even people already occupied these rooms. There has been some real unpleasant encounters. Some single lady travelers had to deadlock their doors to feel safe.
The reception staff was not very helpful when they received complaints.
It seems that the exterior and interior of the hotel is quite outdated and I'm sure once upon a time it was considered modern and trendy. What I liked was the coffee , but the queues were long. Not much choice for little snacks. I recommend that the bar should start doing coffee too to speed up the queues.
The hall for the convention had no flair, but was large enough to hold a massive amount of people.
The hotel is conveniently located along the seafront tram line and very close to the beach.
