Simple small town diner that is the downstairs of a building. Looks dated, but it's clean and cozy.
We stopped in on a Sunday morning and there's lots of free street parking. Restaurant was pretty busy and we sat ourselves at one of the few remaining spots. One person running the whole front end and she was hustling.
We opted for the specials - sausage, bacon or ham and eggs for $8.95 and eggs benny with bacon, ham or back bacon for $11.25. Both options saved you a little bit of money from the posted menu prices. We had coffee too and it was fresh and strong. Food was good, but we didn't care for the potatoes. I think they were boiled first and then grilled on the flat top - but they were super soft and oily. We didn't eat them. The hollandaise was good and the eggs were cooked perfectly on both dishes. Plenty of bacon and sausage for both.
Pay at the counter when finished. Surprisingly, their POS terminal was super new and fancy compared to their more retro feel.
Simple and comforting. Sometimes that's exactly what you need to start the day. read more
