We drove down to Devon to try somewhere different. As soon as we parked at this café I saw a huge lineup across the street. It looked like 200 or more people! I thought Devon has sure changed if that's a food bank or something like that. I later learned lthat Devon has one of the first head shops (marajauna store) to open in this region. Interesting. Well back to the review. As others have said, don't let the appearance turn you off. This is not the place to wear your finest suit or tight black dress. Put your jeans on you'll fit in nicely. The service is immediate and friendly. I sense that the waitress is an owner. My guest and I each ordered the soup and sandwich special. I chose the tortilini soup. It was thick with lots of tortilini and vegetables. Mine came with a BLT sandwich. BLTs taste pretty much the same no matter where you get them but I did appreciate the multi-grain bread. Our coffee cups never went dry. The coffee is standard diner quality but I expected no more or less. This is a quality diner, but a diner none the less. There are lots of locals eating here and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. If that's what you are looking for you'll be happy to eat here. read more
