Is Rockaway Beach the great undiscovered tourist hamlet of Northern California? No, not really, but it's a quick drive from the city unless Hwy One is backed up. I came here by way of a hike though Mori Point. All that scaling up and down those seaside cliffs made me susceptible to a spontaneous afternoon snack. Oh please, not a burger and fries at Rock n' Rob's.
Rather, a cup of coffee is fine, and this cordial beach-style cafe met my needs with a decent $4 Cafe au Lait (photo: https://bit.ly/3JNEcUa). I veered off-track a bit with the addition of a hefty $3 Poppyseed Muffin that was clearly in the display case since the early morning hours (photo: https://bit.ly/3FLRCyX). No matter as I devoured it anyway.
