I adored Pemi Cabins.
My husband and I randomly decided to venture into Lincoln to visit Franconia Notch State Park after a weekend spent exploring Maine. We had no plans and no place to stay since we drove in on a whim. After driving up and down the main road a few times, we noticed a vacancy sign at Pemi, so we stopped in. The kind woman working the desk gave us the keys to both units she had available and let us look at our leisure to see what might be a fit for us. She even told us she could recommend somewhere else to stay if we didn't like our options. As soon as we turned the key on this cabin, we knew it was the spot for us.
The location is incredible. These cabins are set right along the river so you can hear the peaceful rushing no matter where you are on property. We slept with the windows open all night so we could enjoy it. Our cabin had chairs on the front porch, so we sat and had coffee in the morning. Though we didn't stay long and spent most of our time out hiking, we did appreciate that this cabin had everything we'd need for a longer stay to be comfortable. It has a kitchen with a fridge and stove, plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. I love that all the windows could be opened. There's a trail that leads down to the river for you to explore at your own risk. There's also a barn that has a few games and is the perfect place to hang out.
We fell in love with the area and if we're lucky enough to make a trip back to New England, we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. I'd love to stay in one of their cabins with a covered porch to enjoy the river even more! read more
