At first I thought what a random location for a Vietnamese pho restaurant. When I got there, it became clearer. It is located next to Nazarene University.
I managed to grab a parking spot in the street in front of the restaurant. But extra parking spots are available in the rear and is a shared parking space for the collection of stores.
The spring rolls are good. Having actual peanuts in the peanut sauce is a plus. Now to the main course, the "pho." Some pluses are generous portion size and plenty of bean sprouts to go with the pho. The broth reminds me of home made pho broth. Of course this is an exaggeration because it's better than home made broth. But it's not as flavorful as some pho restaurants in Asian district. The beef steaks in the pho lost the sweetness of meat. The fatty brisket (or cooked meat - sorry I couldn't tell) is cut a little too thick. Having eaten pho my whole life, I feel like the broth and meat are not as good as Asian district.
Pho 3Nine is still a good option for Bethany or nearby area. I don't think it's as good as some restaurants in Asian district thus the location makes sense. If it was in Asian district, I don't know if it will be able to compete. read more
