It's May 2025 and here to provide update on two large trees we bought from Pittsford Tree and Landscape (aka Village Garden Store) and they planted in Fall 2022. We've been trying for two years to get them to take responsibility and honor their written guarantee but to no avail. The attached photos were taken on May 7, 2025. They show the ridiculous way they chopped the root ball and then planted it bare root. This Sunburst Locust tree never had a chance of successfully transplanting. What replays with us are Bevin's initial words when we originally reached out with concerns about the health of the tree. She said, "Don't worry, I've never replaced a Locust tree." Well that's still true! Even when the tree dies and we are out significant money and need to start over with a reputable nursery, she NEVER REPLACED A LOCUST TREE!!
